John Pototschnik Oil Workshop in Seguin TX 2009

This was a wonderful 2 day workshop.. we had lectures, a demo and learned a lot! our challange by John was to create a painting with a minimal palate.. 3 colors.. we made the underpainting using a raw umber.. you can see on my easel.. I mixed all the colors in my sand dune painting from the 3 primary colors of red, blue and yellow... and added white.. I was amazed at the sand colors and weed/grass colors I got by mixing those 3 bright colors.. It was fun and we met artists or up and coming artists from near Dallas, Houston and Abilene.. was a great time and well worth our time.:) Thanks to John and his patient wife for this visit.
